A BIG “THANK YOU” and THUMBS UP to our Blue Connections IT colleagues for volunteering at FareShare’s new kitchen in Abbotsford

As well as making such a difference to so many people’s lives, we found our time at FareShare rewarding and enjoyable.

We helped contribute to hundreds of meals destined for those doing it tough in our community.
Our efforts on the day included:
assembled and packed 758 x 400g single serve tray meals of gnocchi with mixed greens, tomatoes and ham sauce,
decanned 80kgs of cherry tomatoes,
chopped and prepped a huge amount of vegetables (150kgs!) including,
20kgs cabbage
20kgs bok choy
10kgs spring onions,
40kgs eggplant,
20 kgs zucchini,
20kgs of broccoli / broccolini
20kgs wombok and
And we helped out with the all-important clean and re-set of the kitchens at the end of our shift.

We are thoroughly looking forward to our next shift.
