How Blue Connections IT works with Aruba
For one of Victoria’s largest aged care providers, Blue Connections completed network redesign and wireless site surveys leveraging Ekahau Site Survey – the leading vendor agnostic wireless site surveying tool.
From site survey, a full detailed design was formed using HPE Aruba Switching and HPE Instant Access Points. The customers Switching topologies were redesigned so that resilience, security and performance was incorporated in to every network using technologies such as switch stacking, link aggregation, VLAN’s, access-control lists to name a few. Once the core network architecture was configured to industry best practice, a new wireless network was installed.
Using HPE Aruba Instant Access Points, all sites were deployed using the latest advanced wireless techniques. All wireless networks were scoped so that complete 5Ghz coverage was provided so that the 5Ghz spectrum was reserved critical traffic such as voice and corporate traffic. Wave 2 Access Points were introduced in to the environment, thus future proofing the wireless network for the ever changing wireless device support.
Full wireless coverage was scope for both indoor and outdoor wireless. Wireless security and guest network access was provisioned using Aruba ClearPass for 802.1x capabilities and captive portal onboarding, with the addition of Aruba AirWave for remote monitoring, management and reporting. Airwave also enabled access to troubleshooting tools to pinpoint problematic stations and diagnose wireless issues on the fly and historically.
The install was a national rollout which was fully project managed by Blue Connections with a hugely successful upgrade using HPE Aruba switching and wireless hardware.
