The “Truly Circular IT: Pipedream or Possibility” Expert Hub at the Canalys Forums 2024 APAC tackled the critical challenge of transitioning to a more sustainable, closed-loop IT ecosystem.
Ben Caddy set the stage, emphasizing that “It needs to start with vendors, redesigning for circularity“ and that “consumers need to be open to refusing new products, and investing in circular products, as a standard.“ He also highlighted the importance of “repairing devices“ as a “really simple way to enable the circular economy,“ while noting that “recycling should be a last resort option.“
