The event, held on Tuesday, 4th March 2003, was a unique opportunity to gain an insight into how schools throughout Asia-Pacific are harnessing the power of technology to deliver improved learning outcomes. Chris Bernbrock, IBM Education Executive Asia-Pacific, led a discussion on how educators might apply these insights to schools.

Chris brought a breadth of knowledge based on over five years experience of education solutions and education marketing for IBM in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to these more recent roles, Chris managed an academic alliance centre in California for education customers internationally, and provided sales support for IBM teams working with education clients throughout the Western United States.

Additionally, there was a brief overview of IBM's Schools Notebook Program. IBM strives to lead in the creation, development and manufacture of the most advanced information technologies to enhance the learning and teaching process. The event highlighted the robust and versatile nature of IBM thinkpads and their suitability to the education industry. The event revealed what direction IBM is heading in terms of education and discussed upcoming offerings to schools.
